Are the jewels precious?
Yes ! We only work with precious metals: all our jewelry is made of 925 silver. The gold versions are covered with a thick layer of gold by a process called 'Galvanization'. We are lucky to work with one of the best galvanizing workshops in Paris.
Are your materials ethical?
Since our inception, we have chosen to use recycled silver. This means that instead of the silver used for our creations being extracted specifically for jewelry, old computer parts, old jewelry, and old electronic devices that no longer serve a purpose are transformed. The silver was extracted from these post-consumer products, purified, and melted down to its original state (eliminating any alloying metals it may have been mixed with along the way).
I am allergic, can I wear Sun Society?
Our jewels are made of silver covered with gold, two hypoallergenic metals. This is also the reason for the creation of the brand: our designer Lehna Bensid was allergic to earrings.
Our allergic customers are now reconciled with ear jewelry and can wear it without worrying about any discomfort.
